# Access Products

1. **Download the Study Companion:**
   * To install the Chrome extension, click the **"Install"** button with the Chrome icon.
   * To get the mobile app, click **"Get The App"**. You can also scan the QR code, which will automatically download the app on your device's platform (Apple or Android).
2. **Access the Notebook Web Dashboard:**
   * You can open and use the Notebook directly from the dashboard by clicking **"Open Notebook"**.

# Manage Plan

### How To Pause Your Plan

1. **Access the Manage Plan Section:**

2. **Pause Your Subscription:**
   * Click **"Pause Subscription"**.

   * Click **"Pause Subscription"** again to confirm.

### How To Change Plan

1. **Access the Manage Plan Section:**

2. **Select Your New Plan:**
   * Choose the plan you want to switch to.
   * If the new plan costs more, you'll pay the difference.
   * If the new plan costs less, the difference will be credited to your account for future use.
3. **Update Billing Cycle:**
   * Click **"Update Billing Cycle"** to finalize your plan change.

# Create An Account

1. **Visit Our Website:**
   * Go to our website and click the "Get Started" button on the home page.
2. **Choose How to Sign Up:**
   * You can sign up with:
     * **Email:** Enter your email and create a password.
     * **Apple:** Use your Apple ID.
     * **Google:** Sign up with your Google account.
3. **Pick a Plan:**
   * Select the plan that suits you best.
4. **Complete Your Purchase:**
   * Follow the instructions to buy a subscription and create your account.
5. **Start Using the Platform:**
   * Your account is now set up and ready to go!


# Delete Account

1. **Go to the** [**Dashboard**](https://transcript.study/dashboard)**:**
   * After logging in, look for your profile bubble in the top right corner.
2. **Open Profile Menu:**
   * Click on your profile bubble, then select "Delete My Account"
3. **Confirm Deletion:**
   * Click **"Confirm"** to proceed with the deletion request.

# Reset Password

1. **Go to the Reset Page:**
   * Visit [transcript.study/reset](https://transcript.study/reset).
2. **Enter Your Email:**
   * Type in the email address associated with your account.
3. **You're Done!**
   * Check your email for the password reset link.

# Change Password

1. **Go to the** [**Dashboard**](https://transcript.study/dashboard)**:**
   * After logging in, look for your profile bubble in the top right corner.
2. **Open Profile Menu:**
   * Click on your profile bubble, then select "Update Password."
3. **Reset Your Password:**
   * In the "Reset Password" window:
     * Enter your **Current Password**.
     * Enter your **New Password**.
     * Confirm your new password.
     * Click **Reset Password**.
4. **Done!**
   * Your password is now updated.

# How To Install

1. **Download the Extension:**
   * Visit the [Chrome Web Store](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/transcript/klknhfgkblobpfimidmhkclikdalnoke) and click "Add to Chrome" to install the Transcript extension.
2. **Pin the Extension:**
   * After installation, click the puzzle icon (Extensions) in the top-right corner of your browser.
   * Find the **Transcript** extension in the list and click the pin icon next to it.
   * The Transcript extension will now be visible on your browser toolbar for easy access.

# Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with the extension, try these quick fixes:

1. **Refresh the Page:**
   * Press **CTRL + R** on your keyboard to refresh the page.
2. **Check for Updates:**
   * Ensure you're using the latest version of the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
   * Make sure your browser itself is updated to the latest version, since outdated browsers can cause compatibility issues.
3. **Reinstall the Extension:**
   * If problems persist, remove the extension and reinstall it from the Chrome Web Store.

# Notification Center

The Notification Center keeps you informed with live updates on outages, upcoming updates, and other important information.

* **Accessing Notifications:** Click the bell icon in the top right corner of the extension's home page to open the Notification Center.
* **Clearing Notifications:** To clear all notifications, click the sweep icon.

Stay up-to-date with all the latest information directly from the extension.

# Toggle Search Methods

You can easily enable or disable a search method by clicking its icon. Click once to turn it on, and click again to turn it off.

# AI Context

Each Study Set includes an AI Context toggle that you can switch on. When enabled, the AI analyzes all notes, lecture sessions, practice materials, and uploaded content within the Study Set. This prepares the AI to answer questions related to the content.

When you ask a question with AI Context enabled, the AI will use relevant information from the study set to provide a more accurate and context-aware response.

* **Start a Conversation:** Click the **headphones** button and begin speaking.
* **Status Indicator:** The "Listening..." message confirms your voice input is being captured. After you finish speaking, the system will process your input and respond accordingly.
* **Pause or Stop:** Click the **Pause** button in the top left corner to temporarily stop listening. To end the voice input session, click the **X** in the top right corner.
* **Adjust Volume:** Click the **Speaker** icon to adjust the volume as needed.

# Button Behavior


# Auto Select

When you press the Transcript [Button](/transcript-extension/searching/the-button), the answer choice displayed in the Results Window will be automatically selected for you. This feature saves time by eliminating the need for an extra step when answering questions.

# Show Results Box

Normally, when you press the Transcript [Button](/transcript-extension/searching/the-button), a window displays the results. However, if this feature is enabled, pressing the button will no longer bring up the Results Window.&#x20;

This is perfect for students who want to quickly verify their answer choice without distractions, helping them stay focused and efficient.

# Mobile App Connection

Enhance connectivity between the desktop extension and the Transcript mobile app, available for iOS and Android.

With the live streaming feature, every search you make on the desktop extension will instantly send the results to your mobile device in real-time, keeping your desktop clutter-free and focused.

### **How to Enable**

1. **Access the Connection Feature:** Go to the settings menu in the desktop extension and select **Mobile App Connection**.
2. **Start Connecting:** Click the **Play** button to begin connecting the desktop extension to your mobile app.
3. **Connect on Mobile:** Open the **Transcript Mobile App**, go to the settings menu, select **Mobile App Connection**, and click the **Play** button on your phone to complete the connection.
4. **Start Searching:** Once connected, all searches from the desktop extension will be sent to your mobile device!

## What Are Shortcuts?

Shortcuts provide a convenient method to swiftly access many of Transcript's features by simultaneously **pressing three keys** on your keyboard.

### Available Features

* [**Snapshot** ](/transcript-extension/searching/snapshot)- Capture any image, text, or multiple choice question for instant answers.
* **Toggle Visibility** - Quickly hide or show Transcript.
* **Open Extension** - Opens the Transcript home menu.

### How to Change Shortcuts

1. **Locate the Feature:** Find the feature you want to modify; the current key combination is shown to the right.
2. **Click to Edit:** Click on the group of keys.
3. **Set New Shortcut:** Press any three keys on your keyboard to set the new shortcut.


# Language Menu

The Language Menu allows you to select your preferred language from a list of supported options. This feature reflects our commitment to supporting a diverse and global user base.

* Use the **Primary** and **Secondary** sliders at the top to choose your button colors.

**Preview Your Selection:**

* As you adjust the color, the preview will update to show how the Transcript Button will look.

**Finalize Your Choice:**

* Once you're satisfied, your changes will automatically apply to the interface for a personalized experience.

# Searching a Question

To search for a question, simply snap a photo, crop the image, and the results will appear for your review. It’s that easy!

To search from a photo in your camera roll, select the import button next to the pink scan button.

### Cropping

After taking a photo, adjust the handles on the screen to crop the image, focusing on one question at a time. Then, press the check button to start the search.


# Mobile App Connection

Enhance connectivity between the desktop extension and the Transcript mobile app, available for iOS and Android.

With the live streaming feature, every search you make on the desktop extension will instantly send the results to your mobile device in real-time, keeping your desktop clutter-free and focused.

### **How to Enable**

1. **Access the Connection Feature:** Go to the settings menu in the desktop extension and select **Mobile App Connection**.
2. **Start Connecting:** Click the **Play** button to begin connecting the desktop extension to your mobile app.
3. **Connect on Mobile:** Open the **Transcript Mobile App**, go to the settings menu, select **Mobile App Connection**, and click the **Play** button on your phone to complete the connection.
4. **Start Searching:** Once connected, all searches from the desktop extension will be sent to your mobile device!

## What are Study Sets?

For optimal organization, Study Sets **are folders to consolidate all your notes** related to specific school subjects or learning topics.&#x20;

# Creating Study Set

### How to Create a Study Set?

* **Tap the Folder Icon:** In the top right corner, tap the folder with a plus icon to create a new Study Set.
* **Name Your Study Set:** Enter a name for your Study Set.
* **Tap Done:** Click "Done" to save your new Study Set.


# Deleting Study Set

### How to Delete a Study Set

* **Tap the Three Dots:** On the Study Set you want to delete, tap the three-dot icon.
* **Select "Delete Study Set":** Choose "Delete Study Set" from the menu.
* **Confirm Deletion:** A confirmation prompt will appear. If you're sure, confirm to delete the Study Set and all its materials.

# AI Context

Each Study Set includes an AI Context toggle that you can switch on. When enabled, the AI analyzes all notes, lecture sessions, practice materials, and uploaded content within the Study Set. This prepares the AI to answer questions related to the content.

When you ask a question with AI Context enabled, the AI will use relevant information from the study set to provide a more accurate and context-aware response.

   * If needed, you can pause the recording by tapping the pause button in the top left corner.
4. **Finish and Save:**
   * Once you're done, click "Finish" to stop the recording. Your audio will be automatically transcribed and saved.

That's it! Afterward, you can view the complete transcript along with an AI-generated outline and summary for easy review. You can also create practice sets or export the content in various formats like PDF or DOCX for further study.

### How to Rename a Study Set

1. **Open the Options Menu:** Tap the three-dot icon next to the Study Set you want to rename.
2. **Select "Rename":** From the menu, choose the "Rename" option.
3. **Enter a New Name:** Type in the new name for your Study Set.

### Using Split Screen for AI Chat

To enhance your study sessions by interacting with the AI while viewing your materials, you can use the split screen feature. Here’s how:

1. **Click the Button in the Top Right Corner:**
   * Select the button in the top right corner of the screen.
2. **Choose a Split Screen Option:**
   * **Pin Left:** Move the AI chat to the left side of your screen.
   * **Pin Right:** Move the AI chat to the right side of your screen.
   * **Full Screen:** Expand the content you are working on to full screen and hide the AI chat.
3. **Adjust the Screen Split:**
   * After the screen is split, you can adjust the size of each section by dragging the black bar between the AI chat and your materials to the left or right.
